Manufacturing Warranty

Retreading: Retreaded products and casings are guaranteed against all material and workmanship defects and/or diagnosis for a period of 5 years. During this period, we will take back the tire, and do the necessary work on the retread or, we will reimburse the original cost proportional to the treadwear.

Repairs and Reconditioned wheel manufacturing: Repairs are guaranteed for 5 years against all material and workmanship defects and/or diagnosis according to the number of days following the repair:

0-180 days (6 months): 100% of the original cost,

181-270 days (6 to 9 months): 75% of the original cost,

271-1.25 years (9 to 15 months): 50% of the original cost,

1.26 years to 5 years: 25% of the original cost.

These warranties are subject to normal product use. This does not apply to tires of more than 10’ in diameter. Finally, we are not responsible for indirect damages.

Performance Warranty

LanOTR retreading:

LanOTR products are built and designed to have rubber compounds and/or a superior ground surface to other retreaded products offered. Therefore:

Compared to new tires: LanOTR is committed to each of its products. Compared to any other comparable new tire (L3, E3… etc.) used under similar conditions, saves a very minimum of 20% of the cost per hour of use.

Compared to our competition: LanOTR is committed to each of its products compared to any other re-treaded tire used under similar conditions is more economical per hour of use than the competition.

In the event that this is not the case for tires that have completed their usage normally and purchased at the regular price, the difference will be refunded in prorated to the hours worked. In order to do this, the cost of purchasing and normal service fees will be considered.

5 “S” Method

5S is the name of a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke. Translated into English, they all start with the letter “S”. The list describes how to organize a work space for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining the order. The decision-making process usually comes from a dialogue about standardization, which builds understanding among employees of how they should do the work.

There are five 5S phases: They can be translated from the Japanese as “sort”, “straighten”, “shine”, “standardize”, and “sustain”. Other translations are also possible.

Sort

Remove unnecessary objects and dispose them properly
Make work easier by eliminating obstacles
Reduce chance of being disturbed with unnecessary objects
Prevent accumulation of unnecessary objects
Evaluate the need of necessary objects with regard to cost or other factors
Remove all parts that are not being used
Segregate unwanted material from the workplace
Need fully skilled supervisor for checking on regular basis
Don’t put unnecessary objects on workstation & define a red-tagged area to store them

Straighten

Can also be translated as “set in order” or “streamline”
Arrange all objects required so they can be easily ready to use
Prevent loss and waste of time
Make it easy to find and pick up necessary objects
Ensure first-come-first-served basis
Make workflow smooth and easy
All of the above should be done on a regular basis

Shine

Can also be translated as “sweep”, “sanitize”or “scrub”
Clean your workstation completely
Use cleaning as inspection
Prevent machinery and equipment deterioration
Keep workstation safe and easy to work
Keep workstation clean

Standardise

Standardize the best practices in the work area.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workstation organization at all times.
Maintain orderliness. Maintain everything in good order and according to its standard.
Everything in its right place.(Chilled totes in chilled area, Dry totes in dry area.)
Every process has a standard.

Sustain

To keep in working order
Also translates as “do without being told” (though this doesn’t begin with S)
Perform regular audits
Training and Discipline
Training is a goal oriented process. Its result feedback is required on a monthly basis.

Technology and processes that maximize your investment

Our priority is not only to build a quality product but also to maximize your investment. Our technology, called “Cold Retreading”, is completely different from what exists elsewhere in the industry. The other technologies or processes usually deteriorate the mechanical structure of the tires, resulting in a tire that lasts fewer hours and that doesn’t have the same capacity to be retreaded again. Our technology maximizes tire life and allows for multiple retreads. Furthermore, all our repairs, up to a diameter of 10’, are cured in an autoclave. The consistent heat and pressure of the chamber ensures uniform pressure on casings and prevents the occurrence of deformations that commonly appear with other technologies.
